| Exhibition Schedule Released |
The MJHL released the 2004 MJHL exhibition schedule and the OCN Blizzard will play five games.
The Blizzard will play the Wayway Wolverines in Wayway on September 7, 2004 followed by a home and home series with the SJHL's Flin Flon Bombers and Nipawin Hawks.
The Blizzard will play in Flin Flon on September 5th and September 11th in OCN while they will play Nipawin on September 7th in OCN and September 10th in Nipawin

Blizzard Open Season In Selkirk |
The MJHL released their 2004-05 regular season schedule and the OCN Blizzard will not see home ice until October 1st and 2nd against Waywayseecappo. The Blizzard will open the season in Selkirk on Friday September 17th and will then close September off with away games against the Winnipeg Saints and South Blues, Swan Valley, and Waywayseecappo

Blizzard To Face Steelers, Flyers, And Saints At Showcase Weekend |
The MJHL announced the schedule for the first ever Showcase Weekend at the Dakota Arena in Winnipeg, MB and the Blizzard will face three Addison Division teams.
The Blizzard will start off the weekend against the 2004 MJHL Champion Selkirk Steelers at 7 PM in Rink A on Friday, October 8, 2004. The Blizzard will then play the Winkler Flyers at 5 PM in Rink B on Saturday, October 9th and the Winnipeg Saints the following day at 2 PM in Rink B.
The MJHL has also invited the Borderland Thunder of the SIJHL to participate and have stated that all games will count in the regular season standings. Weekend passes will be $30 and day passes will be $12.

Paul Wallmann Accepts Scholarship To
St. Lawrence

The OCN Blizzard are proud to announce that Defenseman, Paul Wallmann has accepted a NCAA scholarship to St.
Lawrence University this fall. Paul will join older brother Mark
who accepted a scholarship to St. Lawrence earlier this year.

Young And Girouard Pick Up CIS
Scholarships

The OCN Blizzard are proud to announce that forward Michael Young and
goaltender Pierre-Olivier Girouard have both
accepted CIS scholarships.
Young will be heading to Winnipeg to attend the University of Manitoba while Girouard
will be attending the University of Regina.

MJHL Announce Award Nominees

The MJHL announced
their award nominees for their annual awards night on Sunday, April 18, 2004.
CJAHL Scoring Champ
Aaron Starr is nominated for league MVP and will be given awards for
MJHL top scorer as well as 1st team All-Star
Goaltender
Pierre-Olivier Girouard is up for Goalie of
the Year and will be given a 2nd team All-Star award.
Michael Young will also be given a 1st team All-Star
award while Jared Lang will be given a 2nd team All-Star award.

Starr Becomes First MJHLer To Win
CJAHL Title

The Blizzard are proud to announce that forward
Aaron Starr has become the first MJHLer to
win the CJAHL scoring title since the CJAHL was formed in 93-94. Starr
had 59 goals and 59 assists in 60 games for the Blizzard this season.
